Huatulco, "Bahias de Huatulco," is centered around the town
of Santa Cruz. It is a very popular tourist destination
located in the southern part of the state of Oaxaca, where
the foothills of the Sierra Madre meet the waves of Mexico's
Pacific.

Huatulco was originally a small beach
and fishing village, carved out of the coffee jungles of
southern Mexico. Huatulco invites its visitors to explore
the secret coves and hidden lagoons which are famous for
tranquility, rest and relaxation.

Huatulco has an average temperature of 28ºC (82ºF) and clear
days nearly all year round. Huatulco has 9 bays and more
than 30 beaches. Local guides or Dive Safaris can provide
unforgettable diving adventures. You can explore in relative
privacy the beaches and bays and snorkel or dive. You will
see amazing fish and coral There are 13 different dives.
You will enjoy the interesting coral reefs as well as the

that profiles Huatulco as an International diving zone. The
bays all have have fine white sand and an unusual landscape
that creates privacy and gives each one a distinct

of flora and fauna. Get up early to watch one of the most
breathtaking sunrises ever. Make a visit to Punta Celestes
archeological site. Rio Copalita overflows into the ocean
where you may also watch migratory birds and a infinity of
magnificent species.

the Main Plaza at Santa Cruz
with an interesting architecture.

many activities and shows usually take place. It has two
small plazas with cobblestone walks, streetlights, quarry
fountains and gardens of big trees and shaded resting areas.

located in the main plaza of Bahia de Santa Cruz and has
many stands that offer not just handicrafts from the State,
but from other regions of the country as well.
